Judy Sisneros
My goal as a teacher is
that each student go away happy, with a unique quilt
- not a copy of
everybody else's in the workshop.
My classes are not
complicated - and I want students
to like the quilt well
enough to make more than one. As quilters, the most precious
gifts we give (other than
our time) are those we make on our sewing machines.
I want to help you make
wonderful gifts for those you love!
I have been
enthusiastically sharing my techniques with students since early 1993.
My approach is casual and
fun; I encourage originality and creativity
(even if you think you
don't have any!). I have been a
quiltmaker since 1987 and
sewed many years before that. My first workshop was a
strip-pieced landscape and
I ended up writing a book about that technique,
"Simply Landscapes" which
was published by Animas Quilts in 1994.
My book, "9 PATCH
PIZZAZZ......Fun, Fast and & Finished in a Day" published by C&T Publishing,
came out in March 2006 and has sold over 40,000 copies.
Another book "Rectangle Pizzazz" is due out in January 2008, featuring
5 projects using mostly rectangles. Watch for new workshops
from the book!
I love teaching and
traveling, and as a single woman I have the freedom
to pursue both with great
gusto!
My quilts are made and
quilted mostly by machine - I'm a "pedal to the metal"
kind of girl. I live
in Rocklin CA (30 minutes east of Sacramento).
