WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!

I am happy to announce that I have a new workshop called BATIK BLAST!  I have been in love with batiks for years so that was my inspiration.  It uses simply blocks such as rail fences & 9 patches, with a little surprise thrown in............fun, fast, finished!  The same blocks can be arranged 2 different ways for 2 entirely different looks.  I am excited about this!  Click above to see it.

"9 PATCH PIZZAZZ" has now sold over 57,000 copies - very exciting for me!  "RECTANGLE PIZZAZZ" has been out over two years now too - can't believe the wonderful emails I've received from all over the world!  Do I have another book in me???? Not sure yet but I'm working on it.

If you would like to order a signed copy of either book, send me a check for $21 including postage/taxes
to 702 Horizon Cove, Rocklin, Ca 95677.  I'll mail it asap!
If you want both - send a check for $40, saving a couple of bucks!

     SILK KITS FROM CAMBODIA

In February 2009, my friend Susie Ernst and I went to Agape Restoration Center in Cambodia to teach hand quilting to young girls rescued from the sex slave trade.    We were there for 3 weeks, bought sewing machines, silk, batting, etc.  We hired a translator and worked with young girls to teach them hand quilting.  It was the most difficult and most rewarding thing I have ever done.  We brought back silk pillow covers decorated with hand-quilted motifs made by the girls.  We wanted to do more, so we decided to bring back beautiful raw silk fabric to cut into kits to sell - and included a pattern to make a quilt.    We sold all the kits within a few months.  We  received an additional 150 yd. of  silk - which we  cut into kits and those are all sold as well.  ALL proceeds of the kits go to AIM for Asia (Agape International Missions) who work to rescue girls from the sex slave trade.  Kits are $55 plus shipping, and include 3 1/2 yds. of silk - two colors.  When we are able to get more silk, I'll have info on available colors on this site.  For more info on AIM check out their website www.aim4asia.org
